Ken-Rock Benefits from Community Foundation Grant

The Ken-Rock Community Center is proud to announce it has received a $8,500 grant for Security Upgrades for the after school, summer recreation and daycare. The grant was awarded by the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois.

“We are grateful for this grant that will give us the upgrades in security to meet the needs of the children in our youth services department ranging from after school programming, summer recreation camp and the future daycare, ” says John Guth, executive director. The Ken-Rock Community Center, 625 Adams Street is the 2014 Rockford Register Star Excelsior Award recipient. The agency has been providing positive opportunities in recreation, education and social services since the 1930’s.
The Mission of the CFNIL has been a vital catalyst for giving in order to attract, preserve and grow an endowment for current and future needs of Northern Illinois.
