Softball Youth Leagues

All teams are full for 2018

Season: Practice begins first week of May 7, Opening day is Saturday, June 2, and the leagues run through the week of July 20.

Site: All games are played behind Riverdahl School, located at Sandy Hollow Road and Kishwaukee Street.

Rules: Ken-Rock believes in full participation. All players will bat throughout the game and play at last two consecutive innings on defense (six outs).

Costs: Softball registration fee is $80 per player/T-Ball-$60.00

4-5 years of age cannot turn 6 on or before August 1

Must be 4 by May 1


Monday and Wednesdays

6-8 years of age cannot turn 9 on or before August 1

Pee Wee

Monday and Wednesdays

9-11 years of age cannot turn 12 on or before August 1


Mondays and Wednesdays

12-15 years of age cannot turn 16 on or before August 1

Make up games will be held on Tuesday nights.

Zero Tolerance Parent Policy for Youth Softball

Ken-Rock is a member of the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA).


How can I enroll? You can enroll online and pay via Pay-Pal, or walk-in registration

When can I enroll? Registration is open now thru April 15

How much does it cost? The fee for softball leagues is $80/T-ball-$60. Cost increases to $90 for late registrations.

When do the kids play? play on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Are there any other costs? No

When does practice start? Practice will begin the first week of May.

When do games start? Turf shoes, molded rubber cleats are optional. Bats will be provided unless you have one.

When does the season end? We close our season traditionally the third week of July.

Will my child receive a trophy or an award at the end of the season? Everyone receives an award.

Where are the diamonds we play at? Games are played at Don Schmid Youth Sports Complex located behind Riverdahl School, on the corner of Sandy Hollow Rd. and Kishwaukee Street

Is there a cut of date for age? Age is determined what your child’s age is on August 1.

Are there participation rules? All players will bat throughout the game and play at least two consecutive innings on defense (six outs).

Can my child play with his/her friends? Yes, please place any requests on our registration form, we will try to accommodate if possible.

How can I select a coach? Returning players are placed with the previous year’s coach, unless otherwise requested. If you request to not play for a coach, one will be selected for you. This is a case-by-case decision. Example: I would like my child not to play for a coach of the team that finished in last place from last season. Instead, I now want him or her to play for the first-place team from last season. This scenario will not be allowed.

Be Involved

Ken-Rock Community Center is renowned for its youth recreation sports programs. Over 1,200 boys and girls participate in year round sports and recreational activities. Fun, Sportsmanship and skill development is the focus of these programs along with a stress on character development.
